This policy explains which personal data knaus.io processes, why, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll.
2. What Data We Process
Contacting Me
This website has no contact form and does not collect any data you type in. You can reach me by email, phone or WhatsApp. When you do, I process what you send me: your name, email address or phone number, and the content of your message (including any files or photos you attach).
- Purpose: replying to your inquiry and, if you wish, preparing an offer.
- Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering inquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Retention: messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the inquiry, at most 3 years after our last contact. If it leads to a contract, related correspondence is kept for the periods required by accounting and tax law.
- Where it is processed: email in our Microsoft 365 mailbox; WhatsApp messages in WhatsApp, operated by WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. (Meta) under its own privacy policy.
Hosting and Security (Cloudflare)
The website is hosted on Cloudflare as static files. When you visit a page, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser user agent, requested URL and time to deliver the page and protect it against attacks. Short-term request logs are kept by Cloudflare for a few days for debugging and security. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a secure and working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Analytics and Marketing (only with your consent)
The following services are loaded only after you click "Accept all" in the cookie banner. Until then, your browser does not connect to them at all.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.): website traffic statistics. Privacy terms.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd.): heatmaps and session recordings that show how visitors use the site. Privacy statement.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.): measuring the results of ads on Facebook and Instagram. Privacy policy.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 109(8) of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on Electronic Communications). You can withdraw consent at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer and "Reject all". The trackers then stop immediately and their cookies on this domain are deleted. Withdrawal does not affect processing that happened before it.

Fonts and all other files of this website are served from knaus.io itself. No third-party fonts or embeds are loaded.
4. Recipients and Processors

- Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd.: email (Microsoft 365) and, with consent, Clarity
- WhatsApp Ireland Ltd.: only if you contact me on WhatsApp
- Google Ireland Ltd.: Google Analytics, with consent
- Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.: Meta Pixel, with consent
We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone else unless required by law.
5. Transfers Outside the EU
Some of these providers or their parent companies are based in the United States. Transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (all of the providers above are certified) and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Your Rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15)
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16)
- have your data erased (Art. 17)
- restrict processing (Art. 18)
- data portability (Art. 20)
- object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing (Art. 7(3))
